Overland and Off the Grid

When you just need to get away, and even a camp ground is too crowded. When you don’t want to hear anything but the mountain stream and your own heartbeat. It’s time to hit the road – the dirt road – the one nobody else wants to drive on. Of course, nobody else wants to drive on it because it’s difficult and maybe even a little scary. But with a little proper prior planning and the right equipment, life can be pretty good off the beaten track.

Over the years, our family has traveled to some remote places in the U.S., enjoying each adventure and learning from the inevitable mis-adventures along the way. We want to share some of the adventures with you. But we also want to share what we’ve seen and learned along the many miles of dirt. We want to share what went into those adventures, and how it was possible to go adventuring responsibly, economically, in comfort and with some style. So come along for the ride, over the land and off the grid. Share some of our adventures and maybe even find the inspiration and advice you need to take off on some of your own.
